Wellington Neurodisability and Youth Justice Forum

We're looking forward to attending the Neurodisability and Youth Justice Forum tomorrow in Wellington. It is exciting that there is a growing awareness of the underlying needs of vulnerable children and young people and a desire to address these needs. We are receiving increasing interest in the role speech, language and communication needs may play in the lives of children and young people, particularly those in contact with care and protection and youth justice services. Hopefully we will soon see a range of interventions in place for the majority rather than the very few who have their needs addressed currently in NZ.
