Specialised communication assistance in justice contexts

The Talking Trouble Aotearoa NZ team is part of a newly formed working party exploring how best to develop specialised communication assistance services in NZ for justice contexts such as court trials, Family Group Conferences and police interviews. Please contact us if you are looking for this sort of specialised support from a speech-language therapist or have provided this for a victim, witness or defendant. We will be developing NZ processes, codes of ethics and conduct and exploring how to develop a system of training and support for SLTs undertaking this new challenging work.
