Professional development workshops

The Talking Trouble NZ team have developed and delivered a series of professional development workshops for all the NZ Fire Service staff around the country who carry out the Fire Awareness and Intervention Programme. These workshops aimed to help participants identify language difficulties in the children and young people they work with, and respond with appropriate strategies to support effective communication. Our current newsletter gives more detail about this work which we have also delivered as a taster session to a group of youth health professionals.
