Enabling effective communication in Family Court processes

Talking Trouble Communication Assistants are used now frequently in criminal court contexts, but more recently, we've also been spending more time in Family Courts in Aotearoa assisting tamariki, rangatahi and whānau to understand and participate in their Family Court matters. We've also listened to whānau experiences of communication within Family Court. We've created this sheet to provide the court workforce within Family Court and other jurisdictions with information and strategies they can use to enable tamariki, rangatahi and whānau to understand, participate and have mana motuhake within legal processes.
